I am an Otago University medical school graduate and qualified as an adult psychiatrist in 2013. For 10 years I worked across different parts of specialist mental health services within Te Whatu Ora Waitematā (formerly Waitematā District Health Board). Prior to joining Pathways I worked as a Primary Care Liaison psychiatrist for 6 years, working closely with General Practitioners and their teams. Working in this interface was rewarding and complemented my interests in quality improvement and teaching. I teach undergraduate medical students in Psychiatry as an Honorary Senior Lecturer with the University of Auckland.
I strive to provide tāngata whai ora with personalised and holistic care and have always valued the input provided by community and peer support kaimahi. I am delighted to join the Pathways whānau in their goal to provide tāngata whai ora with high quality care, whatever it takes.
I am originally from the Philippines and have lived in New Zealand for the majority of my life. I am a busy mum who enjoys travel, spending time with whānau and going to concerts.
